Jeremiah 48:40-42

New International Version

“Look! An eagle is swooping^(A) down,
    spreading its wings^(B) over Moab.
⁴¹ Kerioth^[a](C) will be captured
    and the strongholds taken.
In that day the hearts of Moab’s warriors^(D)
    will be like the heart of a woman in labor.^(E)
42 Moab will be destroyed^(F) as a nation^(G)
    because she defied^(H) the Lord.
